Looking a gift horse in the mouth

I intend, over the next several posts, to expand on a statement made in a previous blog, " Is Christianity something that is given to us, or something we make for ourselves?". I lean toward the former, and will consider the implications of that opinion. This will essentially be a long, protracted apologia for the Catholic faith, not least because I do not believe that the protestant faith withstands logical scrutiny, but of much greater importance, because I am convinced that there is nothing greater for one who loves Jesus than to experience unabridged Christianity. Don't see this as an attack on protestantism, but an invitation to seriously consider the Catholic faith as the fullness of Christ.
